What is Dysport®?

Dysport® is a botulinum toxin injectable that works by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles to prevent muscle contractions and the resulting formation of wrinkles on the overlying skin. Dysport® is FDA-approved for moderate to severe frown lines (glabellar lines) and forehead wrinkles that cannot be treated with dermal fillers. Known as dynamic wrinkles, these lines form on your forehead and around your eyes over time due to the pinching of skin by facial muscles.

How Much Does Dysport® Cost?

The average cost of our Dysport® injections is $3.50 to $6.00 per unit injected. Pricing varies based on amount of Dysport used during treatment. After we work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan during the consultation, we can provide more details about the cost. We offer free consultations for all non-surgical body contouring procedures. All other consultations cost $50, which we apply towards the cost of your Dysport® injections.

To provide excellence in care for men and women who want natural, minimally invasive treatments, we strive to keep our prices affordable. We also offer financing options from Cherry, CareCredit®, and Alle. You can apply online before your consultation and receive a decision within minutes.

Am I a Candidate for Dysport®?

Dysport® treatment is ideal for men and women with crow’s feet, vertical lines between the eyes, and forehead lines. Ideal candidates do not have an allergy to botulinum toxin or a history of bleeding problems. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, we will ask that you wait to receive Dysport.

How is Dysport® Performed?

Dysport® is injected into the facial muscles using a very fine needle. The injections are made in a specific pattern that is known to reduce the effects of repeated movements and facial expressions. Although most patients do not consider this treatment to be painful, a topical numbing cream can be applied to the injection sites to help you feel more comfortable.

What is Recovery Like After Dysport®?

Dysport® requires no downtime but we recommend that patients avoid strenuous exercise and sun exposure for the first 24-48 hours after their injectable treatment. Localized swelling, bruising and tenderness in the treatment area is common for the first one to three days, but this typically resolves on its own.

How Long Will Dysport® Results Last?

You will be able to see some results immediately after the injections. Full results can take up to five days. The results of Dysport® last three to four months on average, but this varies by patient. We will schedule follow-up appointments to determine when you need maintenance injections. This is normally every four months.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dysport

How long does it take for Dysport to kick in?

Dysport typically starts to take effect within 2 to 3 days after the injection. However, full results are usually noticeable within 7 to 14 days.

How often should I get Dysport?

In general, starting with treatments every 3 to 4 months is common. Neurotoxin treatments may require additional touch ups.

Can you get dysport after Botox?

It's important to wait until the effects of the previous Botox treatment have worn off before getting Dysport. This typically takes about 3 to 4 months.

Can you reverse the effects of Dysport?

The effects of Dysport, like those of Botox, cannot be directly reversed once the treatment has been administered. Since it works by temporarily blocking nerve signals to muscles, the effects will naturally wear off over time as the body metabolizes the toxin.

What is the difference between Botox and Dysport?

Dysport injections are administered in a broader pattern while Botox is injected in smaller, more targeted patterns in each treatment area. Botox is FDA approved for frown lines (glabellar lines), crow’s feet (lateral canthal lines), and forehead lines (frontalis). Dysport is FDA-approved for frown lines (glabellar lines) only.
